Air-quality data disclaimer

AirQualityIndex.org displays environmental information obtained from or derived from third-party monitoring networks, data APIs, atmospheric models, forecasts and related services. Although we aim to identify sources and timestamps accurately, real-time and near-real-time data can be delayed because of upstream reporting, connectivity, provider outages, API limits, caching or processing.

AirQualityIndex.org does not independently verify or validate every incoming real-time observation before it is displayed. Measurements and model outputs may later be corrected or revised by the originating provider. Missing, stale, anomalous or inconsistent values are possible.

Not an official regulatory source

Do not use this website as the sole source for regulatory compliance, legal reporting, emergency response, workplace safety or other decisions requiring official validated data. Consult the relevant national or local environmental authority and the originating monitoring network.

AQI methodologies differ

AQI systems are not globally identical. Different authorities may use different pollutants, breakpoints, averaging periods, units and categories. Values from different methodologies or timestamps should not automatically be treated as directly comparable.

We gratefully acknowledge third-party data and research providers that support public access to air-quality information, including OpenAQ, Open-Meteo, Copernicus CAMS, WAQI/AQICN and the governmental, institutional and monitoring networks represented through those services where applicable. We also reference WHO, EPA/AirNow, EEA, CPCB and other authoritative agencies for health, standards and methodology.

Attribution does not imply that a provider endorses AirQualityIndex.org. Third-party data, marks and services remain subject to their respective terms, licences and ownership.

AirQualityIndex.org may earn revenue from display advertising, affiliate or referral links, sponsored content, sponsorships and other commercial arrangements.
