As the heat and poor air quality in NYC persist, it’s a good idea to stay indoors as much as possible.
I planned a whole weekend of catching up on new shows (I have yet to finish the Legally Blonde prequel, Elle on Prime Video), which involves trading in my sundresses and skirts for comfortable PJs.
Enter Arid Blayne. Their comfortable, moisture-wicking sets seemed like the perfect companion for a weekend binge-watch fest.
I tested three different two-piece combos: the Henley Shirt and Chill Short, the Classic Tee and Lasso Pant, and the Scoop Tank with a different-colored Lasso Pant.
This was, by far, my favorite of the three looks. The buttoned collar let my skin breathe, while the soft knit fabric literally felt like I was wrapping myself in a blanket. It’s created with special fibers that absorb moisture, along with a double-layered front to avoid accidental nip slips.
I loved the hue “midnight,” but the top also comes in Arid red, blush and frost.

Chill in style. This short features the same moisture-wicking fabric as its counterpart, along with a drawstring waist that adjusts to different sizes.

This loose-fitting tee is about to become your closet staple. Not only is it soft and comfortable enough to wear to sleep, but it can be dressed up with a denim jacket or blazer for more formal occasions. A double-layered front once again provides coverage; you don’t even need to wear a bra with it.
Note that this top does seem to run big. I ordered a size small, and it fit more boxy and oversized than expected.

This sweat-proof pair of pants wraps just over the ankle for a looser fit. It comes in one neutral hue and one bold color: midnight (black) and frost (light blue).
If you’re on the shorter side like me, I recommend sizing down. I am 5 feet 2 inches, and the size small nearly brushed the ground.

The soft knit fabric feels like a warm hug. I also loved that because of the double layers, I didn’t need to put on my undergarments for a quick run across the street to the grocery store.
Final verdict
If you’re looking for lightweight, comfortable PJs, Arid Blayne is the perfect place to shop. The colors are neutral enough to disguise as wardrobe basics as well — just in case you want to roll out of bed and throw a jacket over your tank to get to work.
Watch out for sizing (size down if necessary) if you want a slimmer fit, as the pieces tend to run a bit oversized.
Consider your NYC heatwave closet conquered.
