We know what you’re thinking. It smells. And we know you’re wondering, why does it smell like all my bad days rolled into one.

That’s because there’s a fire.

“A wildfire on the Front Range?” you ask. No.

“More Arizona or New Mexico hellscape fires?” Ney.

Your day smells like trash because, all metaphors aside, there’s an actual trash fire. It’s in Englewood and the wind is wafting the smell our way.

This isn’t the first time our city has smelled like hot trash. In fact, burning garbage used to be quite a common thing for folks along the Front Range.

But authorities have cracked down on those practices because big trash fires like today’s are hard to stop. Trash, it turns out, is still quite flammable.  Happy Tuesday!
